12,000 People Gather for Worship Service at California State Capitol

12,000 People Gather for Worship Service at California State Capitol

In California, 12,000 people have gathered on the Capitol Grounds to worship God. The move was apparently illegal in California, but Sean Feucht, who held the service, says freedom of religion is a right that everyone should have, regardless of what State Officials have to say.

Sean Feucht has been leading worship services across the country, but the one in California is especially important, considering some parts of California, like Los Angeles, have some of the most stringent government lockdowns in the country, CBS Sacramento reports.

In a tweet, the worship leader and pastor insisted that “God is not done with California.” Feucht also noted that the official capitol police estimate said 12,000 people attended the revival event. The tweet included an aerial view of the event.

In a statement on his website, Feucht explains:

“Powerful politicians and social media giants have engaged in unchartered abuses of religious liberty, silencing the faithful, banning our voices, and outright attacking our God-given right to declare His goodness.

States across America, including here in California have shut down church services and even outlawed singing in church. Instagram and Twitter is censoring Christian voices every single day.  And every hour that passes they grow bolder in their efforts to silence the faithful.”

His website is where he streams the services and has a petition people can sign to call on states and the Federal Government to list the unprecedented bans on religious services.

The local media responded by calling the event a safety hazard and said he was in “defiance” of the California ordinances. Despite there being zero evidence anyone at the rally had Coronavirus.
