Terrible Act of persecution in China
The Golden Lampstand Church has attracted negative attention from the government once more. On Tuesday, Chinese authorities detonated bombs to destroy the house of worship.
On march 4, 2010, a Chinese Land Official Said “Golden Lampstand Church will be destroyed” and eight years later this statement became real.
Radio Free Asia reported that witnesses said the church members had tried to stop the demolition but were in vain, and that “dozens of police and local officials” were involved in the destruction and have pressured parishioners to remain silent
Reportedly, the church had problems since it was built in 2009, with its pastor, Yang Xuan, jailed for three and a half years and his wife, Yang Caizhen also beaten and imprisoned for two years in a force labor camp.
“ChinaAid calls on the international community to openly condemn the bombing of the church building and urge the Chinese government to compensate precisely christians who paid inmediately cease these alarming demolition of churches,” Fu declared.
